6 Years. Time for new batteries

Out of the corner of my eye I noticed a red flash of LED. Only for a millisecond, but as my Speedglas 100 is now six years old I guess its time to lash out a couple of quid on new batteries.

It needed a few moments of searching to find the battery compartment and a sharp pointy thing to open it up. New ones in and a bit of a wipe over and we're all set for another six years.

Binned a couple of "unbranded" auto masks last week, in the old mans workshop (old school) they have two beat up masks, god knows how they weld with them, seems the dust takes them to shade 11, after I cleaned the glass even maxed out they barely make a shade 5 haha, soldered (spot welded) cells mean they met the maker!
