Are these any good? I'm suspecting so but not sure. I'm after a new hat for work as the Silverline one that was there when i got there isn't the best and is a few years old now.
I like Speedglas, many don't because of the headgear (it is a bit mickey mouse) but i can forgive that because they're soooo light and airy due to the exhaust vents and side windows.
Having said the 9000/9002 series have been discontinued for a while now and support/spares will be discontinued sometime next year apparently. The 9002d is one of the 'basic' models in that it doesn't offer as wide a range of shades and isn't rated for TIG below something like 20A
The 9002D is obsolete & was only a dual shade 9/11 headshield but Speedglas an excellent make. Current versions are the 9100V, 9100X & 9100XX, larger viewing area is what you are paying for. these helmets are generally regarded as the best in class but you could also look at the Esab OrigoTech 9-13 Helmet & the Britarc BA3037. Esab is mid-range in price & Britarc nearer budget but still offers 9-13 adjustment & sensitivity & delay.
Sold quite a few of both makes & no issues to report. However lots of choice out there & you should be able to get full specs on anything from most web sites.
