I was having a bunch of stuff galvanized so figured I may as well replace the hideous banister on the steps up top my garden. it was a rickety old thing and the steps are well dodgy.
2omm solid mild steel bar with the curves rolled on my Metal;craft Powerbender. Radius of the curves is about 80mm. Making the loops damned near killed me but they came out near perfect.
the guy at the galvanizers was moved to profanity when I told him they were bent cold by hand.
very happy with it once I had it installed.
the spacers at the top are bits of 20x5mm strip rolled to match the discs
