Adapting a Karcher connection to a generic pressure washer

I upgraded my pressure washer from a Karcher K2 to a Scheppach petrol driven jobbie but have since discovered that patio cleaners for the new washer are effectively the same price as the unit.

So can I get an adapter to use the Karcher patio cleaner with the Scheppach?

This is what the new unit uses (gun on the left, nozzle on the right)

It looks like adaptors are available both male and female to the parts you show. The ones below are M22 I think, but they should be available in BSP or other threads:

Could you show a picture of the Karcher thing to which you are trying to adapt.

Edit: the male part looks very similar to TIG torch gas hose connectors, just bigger. I cannot remember the proper name for them.

The fittings you have in the first picture usually are classed as 'mini quick release' and are available as either 1/4" male or female adaptors

Yeah - seems to be every combination except the pair that I think I need (which then makes me thing that I'l looking for the wrong thing!)

The one you linked to has the Karcher female and the quick connect male. The QC is perfect - that will go into the pressure washer gun - but I reckon I need a Karcher male as the patio cleaner seems to be female.

So Karcher male to quick connect male.... Will keep looking!

I bet I'm supposed to remove the wand from this, and that it will be a male connector, so @roofman's adapter would work....

If it is difficult, an alternative is to do it in two steps: Karcher to BSP, a BSP socket or nipple and then BSP to quick connect.

You sure your not getting confused with the sexuality here what looks like a karcher female has a little penis inside the shroud so could be classed as a male, thats as i see it but i have not looked intensely tbh

It's chucking it down so I'm not going back to check but next step is to take the wand off the patio cleaner then I reckon what you guys have point me at will work.

I'd be tempted to take the karcher flexible hose to a hydraulic pipe company who can match it to whatever quick release fitting you have on your new high pressure cleaner.

Before you do all this make sure the Karcher patio head doesn't have a smaller nozzle size than the Scheppach! If it has you'll overload the engine!

You can work out the jet size from the max flow rate & pressure printed on the machine somewhere & use an online table to work out the size. Or post them on here & I can work it out for you.
