advice needed

i was wondering if anyone had any sugestions on an air compressor.

it would be used to run a wide range of air tools such as die grinders, drills, sanders, impact wrench ect you get the idea.

if anyone has any suggestions i would appreciate it

ps it needs to be single phase 240V not more than 30A supply

a belt drive 14cfm with a 3hp motor will be fine dont buy a direct drive one

i was thing a belt drive would be better because of the noise created by direct drive is deafening if your in the same room. thanks for your advice i really appreciate it.

one last thing

Brightspark is that 14 CFM FAD or 14 CFM cylinder displacement?

you will probably need a bit bigger then 3hp if you want 14cfm fad
air grinders and alike use quite a lot of air

is there one you would recommend? being a 17yr old student i cant afford to buy new do you know any were that sell second hand other than ebay?

Ebay is probably the best bet, secondhand from dealers will be more expensive and from private sellers the choice will be restricted to what you find at any given time. On ebay there are lots to choose from. Look at Fiac, Ingersoll Rand, Compair and even any from the Clarke industrial range.
