Advice on hop dip galvanising

I am currently making a kit that consists of mild steel tubing and end plates welded together that can be bolted into a finished structure.
It has all the vent and hook holes drilled where necessary and would like some advice on what I'm looking at in pricing and where would the nearest companies be to offer such a service.

The pieces are usually 3.8 metres long, 1 metre high and 60mm wide.

I am based in bicester.

Don't know about the Uk but here in Ireland its priced on the weight of the item's not the size.

Last time I got stuff done here it was €830 plus vat per ton.

Yes, its done by weight.

To find a local ish one, do a search for 'Joseph Ash' or 'Wedge Group'

Iirc, there is one in London somewhere, otherwise, possibly Eastleigh is your nearest,i think thats a Wedge one.

We pay between £400 and £350 per ton for hot dip galvanising, depending on what it is. Look up the weight per metre of the main tube, add a bit for the end plates and multiply it by the cost/kg. This will give you a fairly accurate cost. Bear in mind they are weighed after galvanising as well, so weight will go up very slightly.
