Advice on sand blaster

Hi everyone,

Long time lurker, first time poster. I have motorcycle engine that i need to blast. Problem is that i don,t have will pay someone else to do it and transport to move engine to nearest sandblasting place.

Currently i own 2 compressors:
3hp, 100l belt driven
2,5hp, 25l, compressor from LIDL

I know that these most likely not good enough for sandblasting, but i have no choice.
What type sandblaster would suit my equipmment best? I dont mind waiting for tanks to fill up between blasts...

A pressure pot plumbed into a cabinet with a 2.5mm tungsten carbide nozzle from ace engineering on ebay.

Those ACE Engineering ones are very expensive, don't hold much grit and wear out the T-piece mixer with regular monotony.

There are generic 10 & 20 gallon pots on ebay, and Machine Mart sell them at slightly elevated prices.

Your compressors combined should do the job without having to wait for the tank to fill.

what material would you recommend for blasting engine (aluminium)?

I use glass beads.

depends if the engine has been painted or got laquer on it and your going to coat it afterwards. this ones been done with sand and second picture beadblasted after the sand
