Ok, knowing that Blowguns are quite high usage re: CFm requiremnt, i need a compressor with a decent duty cycle that will enable the user to use a blow gun for say 4 minutes continuously with as short rest period as possible before the next user has his/her turn, it must be reliable ( at least 1 months usage -used daily for say 8 hours . Ideally a 50 litre tank as im ltd for size, maybe 100 litre at a push -would this make much difference? My budget is about 700 quid.
Any recomendations?? i.e twin cylinder or belt drive, hp?? make? Clarke or Abac or what?

4 minutes continuas use may be a bit much even with 100 litre tank unless you get a large cfm machine then you will need a good power supply maybe even 3 phase a 14 / 15 cfm compressor is at the limit for a 13 amp plug and ideally should have a 16 amp supply so you will have to work out what you can achieve with the power supply available to you

ok, thanks, that helps me, it has to be single phase and ideally 13 amp , ive just watche a mobile phone clip of what im after and it actually about 2 mins continuous which is still a long time now i think of it. Maybe ill concentrate on reliablity first then perfomance, this is going up to a log cabin and needs to be winched up, only gonna be used for 12 months though.

if you want reliability then dont get a direct drive unit they are noisey too most 14 cfm belt drive pumps are 2 cylinders you could always add another pump and motor unit to the cylinder on another 13 amp socket if it proves to be insufficient

What pressure do you run the blowgun at? For longevity get one with with cast iron cylinders/liners.

It would be easier (and probably cheaper) to use two distinct compressors rather than adding a 2nd pump to an existing tank.

he did state he had limited space thats why i suggested the second pump
