Advise on Hydrovane Compressor

Can anyone shed any light onto a hydrovane for me

3 Phase no idea on brand make model, all ID tags are beyond legible

Story of it was ran a large powdercoating firm, removed due to upgrade and has sat in a outside shed since, So plenty of moisture around!

a friend did wire it in to test it, span once clockwise then blew fuses,

Now questions are, Is it reusable/fixable and whats common things to check etc,

Does wiring it up in star for a slow start help and this could of be a cause for it cutting out

or would it need a starter box?

the size of that it would need a star delta starter not just direct on line

We had one similar to that at a factory I ran, we had to have a special dedicated supply put in for it, 60 amps per phase as I recall, I would give DT compressors a ring and ask them to check it out, when they go wrong they can be very expensive to fix.
