I cut the end off one of the chisels, welded a big nut on the end & filled it with weld, rounded off like a ball pein hammer to crack ball joints.if you get the least used chisel and cut it off square they make good ball joint separators if you can get the tool in.
I have used the pointy one for the same but only if the joint has a dip in it.I cut the end off one of the chisels, welded a big nut on the end & filled it with weld, rounded off like a ball pein hammer to crack ball joints.
They use them on the race rescue units as there is no spark danger. I’ve used the one that came with mine a few times. It’s very good at what it does but not something I use a lotThere is also a chisel that isn’t normally supplied for cutting panels, a chisel with a little slot & a hook like blade out of it. It cuts a slot coiling up a strip rather like a Monodex does. I’ll see if I can find it & post a picture in a bit.
brilliant for cutting up in to car wings and thin steel sheet without distortion. just drill a hole to start it off in the middle of a sheetThere you are, got a picture for you, cost me 50p from an auto jumble, not sure if I’ve used more than once or twice

The parallel punches, the pointed ones and the hammer head are the ones I use the most.

I have one of these sets to go with it too, it allows it to be used as a puller.
