Air compressor, 1x 28cfm, or 2x 14cfm or 2x 18cfm ?

Looking at buying new compressor/s

just wondering if to go 1x 28cfm 270ltr tank or 2x 14cfm or 2x 18cfm 150/200ltr tank ?

The advantage of going for 2 x 14 is that you can run them off 1-phase electric, you don't need to fill a big tank for a small job and if one breaks down you only lose 50% of your capacity.

1 x 28 would be more cost effective I would have thought.

If you need that volume of air then the large compressor with two pumps which is the one I believe you are referring to is the neatest although not cheapest option. It has staged start for the pumps and runs off a 40 amp supply.

sorry yes i should of said the 28cfm is the twin motor, but all of the ones i look at all say 30 or 40 amp min
