My new air compressor, (that will get infrequent usage, but hopefully will last me out) is parked in between a lawn mower and a Dewalt Table saw (has dust control, but the fine dust escapes everywhere). I also use a 2100 watt router so same thing.
I kept the huge but thin, plastic bag the Compressor came in, but I vaguely recollect someone saying covering equipment in a plastic bag, in an unheated garage seriously promotes rust, i.e. best to let things breath.
In exchange for me resurrecting the wife's incredibly complicated, swiss sewing machine, she knocked up this cover in really heavy duty cotton drill ( she just had lying around). Works perfectly ... just drops on or lift off ... so no dust on compressor air intakes etc.
It will do the dust prevention perfectly, but if this was then covered with the plastic bag; does that defeat the objective of not using plastic?
only asked as it would be easier to shake off a plastic bag.
Plus is it true covering kit in a plastic bag will cause really rapid rusting?
