Hi All,
I've done a bit of reading using the search however I couldn't find anything that was quite the same as my scenario so I hope you can help.
I'm looking to paint my rally car in a month or so and I'm looking at my setup. The painting and mask will be essentially two separate systems for me.
I have a 13.8cfm Clarke compressor for the painting side of things, that will be on its own airline/filter set up not connected to the airfed mask.
However, looking at the PPE side. I'm wanting to buy a mask (potentially either the Iwata or the Crusader) But I need to know what compressor I need to run it.
I already have a separate 2hp compressor (to be located outside my workshop) which I was going to use but I'm not sure its going to be up to the task. 190l/min it states on the side. I already have the metalworks 3 stage breathing filter setup set up with brand new airlines which have never had oil in them.
Firstly would the 2hp one be up to the job of running either the Iwata or Crusader? Secondly, if not what can you recommend on a budget?
I don't mind putting some money in as its my health and silly me used to paint with the Gerson mask back 'when I were a lad', however I'm not a professional and after this paint job I wont likely use the equipment often.
What should I be looking at/aiming for as best use of my money and making sure I'm as safe as possible.
