Air hose, fittings and stuff

Hi Guys i've recently bought a Clarke SE165C150 (not delivered yet) and wanted to check my existing hoses are up to the job..

I have some 10mm I.D. hoses with 1/4BSP threads with a 1/2 regulator.

I use these funny big couplings with a big I.D. (I think they're series 27 ZF PCL) - http://www.airlines-pneumatics.co.uk/webcat/Detprod.asp?ProductCode=S010167

Will 10mm I.D. be enough or will I have to use 1/2" hose.

I'm a bit of a virgin with all this you see.

your 10mm I.D. hose should be fine what are you planning to run from the compressor

1/2" Impact wrench, 3/8 ratchet, air chisel, metal cutter, die grinder, air riveter, air blower and maybe some paint spraying.

Impact guns give their best with 1/2" hose, it will work on 3/8" but it won't produce full torque.

Do you think it's worth me changing my hoses to 1/2" (13mm) it would mean changing all my hose fittings to 1/2 bsp though.

i come out of the tank using a half inch bsp water seperator and reg to a euro coupling then another eurofitting on other end of tank unregulated for sandblasting the main rubber line out is half inch bore with a y piece on the end and a euro fitting as well as the standard pcl .smaller tools and spray gun are conected to pcl using 3/8 bore short tails and the euro conector for large cfm tools
