tidying up today and cleaning gear thought id blow the sawdust and crap 0f my saw and the pillar drill with the airline and dust gun then started sweeping up and was an almighty bang behind me christ I froze wondered what the hell had happend the airline blew up 120 psi the wife even heard it in the house

the hose burst near the end a few month ago I re maid it off thinkin it was ok that will teach me a lesson, its getting binned. its mate is the same age and off the same roll might as well bin that before it does the same

even better got it of my mate for nothing he gave me a load of steam hose as well that's fine . think il phone him up and tell him it is crap cant get anymore as he retired from the firm 6 years ago im gutted

just a hint.....all my hose connections to compressors use ball valves......

so my last job of the day is to turn off all the electrics and close the valves......

easy peasy, as the lecky and the comp is by the door.....

yup youngster bought me some new skiiddies at Christmas I don't normally jump when things go bang, im used to it when stuff blows up at work only difference is theres a bang and a big blue flash and its in my face

Wait until you hear a 1”, 2000 psi air hose blow, you’d think the devils own unsilenced jumbo jet was chasing you.

Had it happen a couple of times offshore.

I had a hose blow during the night once..... the compressor was still turned on!
God knows how many hours it had been running trying to get up to pressure but it seemed to survive ok.

that was luck last year mine ran for god knows how long and i hadn't noticed. a lump of steel fell on the pressure switch and bust it making it not cut out and run blowing the safety valve off and running full pelt . just the electric had tripped so I re set it and thought no more went to use comp next day and it didn't work .the green hanmerite paint on the motor was brown BURNT the motor was cooked \

I've got the 20m of that paid about 17.99, and it's a good solid hose and nice and flexible, I have no complaints at all

got the one from screwfix today its braided rubber 10mm bore and looks substantial should last ages my others have
