Air hose size?

Finally got my compressor wired in, it is a Clarke SE18C200ND.

It is at the back and I want to use it round the front of the house, so I was going to get a 15m hose. I have seen one that has a bore of 8mm, is it ok to run tools from (eg air wrench, ratchet) or will I have problems running them due to a small bore over such a long distance?

8mm is too restrictive, especially with something like an impact gun. 1/2" is the minimum, but larger is even better.

15mm bore would be adequate no less .

Great, I will have a look for something else then. The compressor outlet is 3/4" so I knew there probably was a better way of doing things

What would I need to be able to fit a 1/4" bayonet connector on the end? I don't plan on using the compressor that much and don't want to have any pipes permanently installed

That would be ideal but try and get the black, 10 bar version. Yellow degrades quicker in sunlight. Best way to use it is to fasten the working end up somehow so it becomes a fixed service outlet. Then install a 3/4" bsp lever ball valve with a reducing bush at the take off end. Then the 1/4" QR coupler can be installed into that with an adaptor. So then you have a fixed bayonet coupler controlled with a valve, so all your air tools can be just connected as required.

Thats pretty crap stuff, I know from experience. It's also not a proper air hose, despite what they say. Air hose needs a higher safety factor as a burst on air is dangerous compared to water.
