There is quite a bit of info on how to get clean dry air here. Scroll down and you will see mention of an oil and particle filter. If you put something like 'air line filter' into ebay you will see a few options. Is it oil you are having trouble with or water? I'm still looking for ways of getting dryer air for plasma cutting from my Hydrovane - it's going to be my workshop improvement project for the new year.

out of curiosity have an air reciever on your hydrovane ?

basicaly a tube with a coiled copper pipe inside probably 22mm copper and a decent fan at the bottom 
i got some pictures and info if u want it emailing cant realy post on here without infringing copyrite it fits between the pump and the tank i made a simlar one for my shotblasting helmet airline supply to stop the hot air from comp . was a 5 gallon bucket of water with the air supply fed through a wound up copper coil in it to the helmet it worked a treat
have u thought about making a heat exchanger

Well, I was thinking of running a length of slightly inclined copper pipe down the length of my workshop (can't remember how long but sort of 'normal garage' length) and then stick a water trap at the take-off end, drawing from the ideas in the painting tutorial. That would fit well with how I use the air. Always open to other suggestions though - I'll PM you my home email address. Cheers Brightspark.
