Air line fittings

I've been given a few brand new fittings to make up a length of hose.

I have some PCL AC61 type A fittings and what I believe is the corresponding male part that fits on the air tools, I can't get the male and female parts to connect together

Have I got the correct parts?

Looks like it, except you should have hose-tail fittings to actually push into the hose. Sometimes you can get away with using a male fitting, but it should be a proper barb with a clamp.

I've got all the correct fittings as they should be, issue is I can't get the male fitting shown in the lower photo into the female fitting.

I've just been out to my workshop and checked old fittings, it seems that the female fitting isn't long enough for the male fittings I've got

Right, got it sussed, what I have been given is a load of PCL Euro female connectors with PCL Standard male fittings. The two aren't interchangeable

What I need to get is a PCL Standard connector, sold as airstream or the heavy duty Vertex

What a minefield !!

Thanks, this has been really bugging me so I've had a good rummage around and found exactly what I need in the box of bits under the bench
