Air line layout designs

I only want to do this once and do it properly
Need some ideas and layouts for a hard line layout to remove as much moisture from the air I am going to be using.

I have thought about re locating the compressor to the workshop read shed and the end of the garden and running copper or nylon pipe the length of the garden 25M or there abouts to aid the air cooling. Then have a few falls on it with ball valves to let the water out.

All ideas greatly received

My system in the first link above seemed to work quite well - no moisture problems with the cars I sprayed after 5 years. Water did collect in the dropouts, but much less as you went along and the dropout before the filter never seemed to need emptying. It was only around a 10m length if I recall. Having the compressor in a shed some distance from where you are working helps a lot with noise too. Copper pipe would probably be better than plastic as the air is hot out of a compressor and the heat transfer is useful for getting the condensation out.

Then run 22mm for the major run.

I have found most of the moisture in my line is produced at the receiver tank.
so I fitted a similar timed air valve ( link below) to the drain on the tank and you would be amazed at the amount of water sprayed out.
I also followed 'Xynudu' youtube Make a compressed air drier from junk water pipe

no more moisture in the line.

True, I used to manually drain the tank, when I remembered!
With the timed valve it will vent as the motor is running, removing a lot more water than you will manually.

Maybe I am explaining it badly.
If the timer is wired to the live feed on the motor, you will have infinite possibilities to choose how long and how often the valve will open.

For example I have mine set to roughly open for a 1/2second every 4mins.

So that means the valve opens about 3/4 times when filling the tank.

The vapour only stops on the last opening cycle.
The air is continually being heated during the compression.
If you are thinking of putting the compressor at the end of the garden, will drain the the tank often?

ah I gotcha now didn't realise it opens the tank for less than a second.
I would still turn compressor off and drain it after every use.

I just found a flexi line that travels the length of the garden too there used to be a hard line steel pipe but it has rusted through now.

I may decide to use that line as it would be a PITA to run copper now as there are 10' connifers both sides of the garden the whole length
