Air pressure regulator and filter

Hello I really can't decide which one of these I should buy :P They are all good feedback sellers, the prices are a little different. What do you guys think do they all do the same job? I need a good one for my sandblasting pot

cheap air regulators are cheap because they usually don't work very well in terms of regulation and flow

also don't be misled by "SMC style" that just means it is a clone

I have several cheap regulators in a box, some of which even worked for a while

if you can afford it then get Norgren/SMC but you still need to look at pressure ratings and flow rates to make sure you get something that will do the job properly

But in your opinion none of these are good? I just need it to keep water out of the abrasive, and I don't think a 1/2" would limit the flow that much, I am only using a 3mm nozzle so there isn't that much airflow

I just use cheapo machine mart filters on my blast pots and they work fine

honest answer is don't know for sure as I haven't used that specific one but I have bought several cheap regulators/filters and had them fail

if you were in this country then buying from machinemart would at least give you an easy return path if it didn't work, do you have a similar supplier in Portugal that you could buy from so you could be confident that a failed unit wasn't a waste of money

This is the one I'm running. My previous regulator restricted airflow and none of my tools worked properly. This one also traps much more water and is easier to adjust. It's the same as the Devilbiss regulator that you get at spray shops.

They show the largest (1&1/2" version) ones in the listing photos, but if you check the pages out you will see the listing of each individual size of that model.
If you are interested use the article in the box number and paste that into the shop search to find the exact model you want.

I don't really know any supplier here in Portugal. I find it really hard to find things here, because I don't know where to look at and there aren't forums neither many websites, that is why I usually link ebay tihngs. Also I think the cheapest one I could get for 1/2" would cost 100 euros and those costed maximum 50 euros (I am kinda on a tight budget) so if they worked good I wouldn't have to spend so much

So that one works good for you? It is still a little expensive because of shipping but if it is good quality then I probably will buy that one because the one Gareth0123 linked me to are too expensive

Why is the heavy duty regulator cheaper than the standart one, which one do you use?

I use the G 3/4" heavy duty regulator QTY20 and (primary water trap) filter G 3/4" QSL 20 and then I have a stripped out G1" QSL 25 filter body containing a linen bag filled with silica gel and then an inverted 20 micron "Y" strainer with Quick release coupling and air line to the water trap and regulator on my plasma cutter
