I've just got a compressor running ( which i bought cheap , £12.00 - slight fire damage to the pressure / start switch - it wouldn't start untill i changed the capacitor ) I 've got another start switch here which states on the cap 175psi - the compressor tank is rated at 150 psi . I had a look at a smaller sealy compressor which is lower pressure and that also has a starter switch rated at 175psi ( from new ) . How can i find out what pressure it actually cuts out at ? I presume that the 175psi is what it's safe to , not what it actually swithes off at ? Regards Al .
