Air tool rack

Hi lads ,

I got sick of hunting through draws for my air tools ,and also having the bench cluttered up with them while working so I knocked up a couple of racks to hold the common tools I use , the racks where just made from a couple of off cuts of box section I had lying aboot .







I designed it this way so its harder for dust and crap to enter the airline fitting .









Now the tools are out of the way but still at hand . Only regret ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I should have made three doh !

love that idea my tool chest is too small for my air tools though i stilll ram them in there

I went for the low tech option and used 9mm tool clips off ebay. they hold the pcl connectors ok as long as the tool isn't too heavy

I have a row of 3" nails with the heads cut off in the top of a plank of wood. The nails fit up the airline connector and its portable!

I have a line of female couplings srewed into 45mm angle,the tool then just clips into the coupling hanging down under my bench. @the original poster,nice idea that

Robs looks great, but I like the others too Here is my Bluepoint ver, pain it has the adaptors but I guess they try and cover all fittings etc, I have a couple of them:-

Most of mine would hang too low because most of my air tools use a short wip pipe so that the QR is not direct on the tool.

I use a good number of those, they like to call them anti vibe hoses? Anyway they are good in my case for tight spots as the PCL is a pain i.e no flex at the handle, the swivel joints just confuse it more, simple hose right on the tool is good.

on my air ratchets and guns I use the double swivel joint but strip them and drill out the banjo bolt and the fitting to maximize air flow.

Need to get your Fire extinguisher maintenance people in.
You 2kg CO2 extinguisher has a broken tamper seal.

That aside, nice bit of work.
Mine are in a box.
