Airline fittings for sprayguns

Would I be correct in assuming that PCL XF/Euro style are the 'standard' for sprayguns as opposed to PCL Vertex style?

I'm going through all my air tools having a sort out and to be honest, PCL vertex is too big/bulky to sit nicely on my smaller touch-up gun, I'd like something 'better'...

Whatever you use, fit a cheap (£2.20 ish from China) swivel coupling and it'll be the best thing you'll ever do to it. If you want to go the extra a whip hose is a big bonus too, by that point the type of fittings used probably won't matter much.
