Airline non return valve

Morning
I'm pluming in my 2 comps to a fixed airline. Got this all sorted in 22mm copper with multiple drops legs etc.
the current issue is my larger compressor is 10 bar rated and the smaller one 8. Obviously I don't want the larger unit forcing higher pressure in the the 8 bar unit. So I'm thinking a Nrv where the 8 bar unit feeds into the manifold would sort the issue.

Anyone got something similar fitted to their set ups?

It might be simpler to reduce the regulator on the 10 bar machine to match the smaller one.

NRVs are a standard item, get one designed for compressed air, I tried one designed for plumbing and the oil in the air damaged the rubber membrane in the valve.

You can also use a solenoid valve from a washing machine, simply connect it the wrong way round (so air flows into the outlet of the valve) and it will act as a non-return valve. Don't apply power to it.

Cheers I've got a couple of washing machine solenoids I'll check them out.
I've noticed cheap Nrv's for water but wondered if they were suitable, I guess not.
I'd rather keep the one set to 10bar if possible

The trouble with some of the nrv`s even the ones with nylon seating's is that they transmit a nasty tapping noise along your pipework, I would suggest getting one that is the same as what's on your tank already and blanking off the port that connects to the unloader in the pressure switch.

Top suggestion eil. I was just looking through my box of spare fittings and found the exact part you mention off a dead 6l comp that I now use as an handy air pig. I've plugged the port and will install at the weekend hopefully problem solved and for free= result

I've got a few NRVs in my system but never noticed that. They do whine a bit though when the flow approaches zero.
