The Active Energy battery case is secured with 4 screws. The head size is not for an Allen key. It needs a T10 security bit to allow removal/replacement.I am looking for a tool to remove the screws in an Aldi battery. Active energy.
Looking at the it seems like an Allen key (hex key).
But all I can find in long versions (the small sets which fit one handle are too wide.
They seem to like unicorn poo.
I have done that before. But felt like I was being a heathen.. lolThe pips snap off very easily just jamb a jeweller's screwdriver in there. I put a cheap one in my battery drill it either loosens the screw or snaps the pip off.
Find out if it has got water inside it....Once you get inside it, what are your plans? Fit new 18650 cells, or fix/replace the BMS board ?
How do you check?lol, let me know what you find. I have one of the same type on my desk that has been here for about 2 years. It still shows one light on the test button but fails on the charger
Annoyingly I later found out it had been still under warranty wheni it first failed but I didn't check
Because my wife left the greenhouse door open and it rained on my tool box which was just inside and had water in ino idea when it was brought. But not recently as you just can't get them round hereWhy do you suspect water? Suggest leaving it outside or in a fire proof area, particually when opening it up.
You know when it was bought?
Whats the manufacture date on the sticker?
I can't even edit it now either.Aren't all Tories defective?
Ask a mod, although I think that it's more fun if it's leftI can't even edit it now either.
