I just got a ticket through the door with regard to a seller didnt pay full postage.
£14.95!

any way what postage costs that?

are they sure it is not a customs charge.


has anyone had similar before

normally the courier would back charge whoever booked it, not the consignee....in my experience anyway
When you book it, it usually says something about under declaring will be charged... can't remember the exact wording but something like that...

Just pay it and raise a dispute through Ali. You'll get your money back.

really, huh well I paid ALI for the postage already. I dont use Ali much normally ebay but these holders were not on ebay

Just trying to work out how they got to that price.
£ 8.00 handling charge if its customs-related plus vat if over £15 value.
As far as I am aware under-declared postage is charged in increments of 10p or a fixed charge.

Yes me too it clearly states postage underpaid it was from China so it is possible

Royal mail (plc) seems a law unto themselves with what they write on the tickets.

I can't recall the detail, but I've certainly had money demands that were itemised entirely incorrectly before (ie the total may have been right, but the reason given for the total was just made up on the spot)

Processing fee is an odd one. Postal services act was amended to allow the charge, but you would imagine it is still subject to acceptance of contract.

Royal mail claim that the contract is accepted when the shipper sends the goods. It all seems a little tennious to me. I'd rather like it all to end like the Ppi thing has.

Ps when the service was still publically owned, someone submitted a foi request, asking about the charges, and the profit made from them. RM used a loophole to avoid having to answer.

Now it's just a plc, like any other. Just with grandfather rights.

I ordered two steppers once. Seller sent one.

Said they were out of stock. What good is one stepper for a project that requires a matched pair? Noone else had them either.

Ali express would not let me send it back, nor refund me for the pair. Like buying a "pair" of shoes and only getting one - getting a 50% refund wouldn't seem that fair!

I mean it was only £3 or somthing, but it made me cautious.

I've had the opposite with AliExpress resolution. Quite a few times the seller hasn't shipped stuff, shipped the wrong stuff, it hasn't arrived. I've always got my refund, and promptly too.
