Aluminium cricket pitch covers design

Hi!

I'm looking at welding some cricket wicket covers like this:

Was thinking of using aluminium to save on weight. Any ideas on how I can figure out what sections to use? Any design guides for aluminium? I suppose they'd resemble calcs for a temporary roof structure or something.
