I am from NI.
I passed my driving test in the year 2005.
I will admit I am not sure on this and hence asking the question here for discussion please.
It seems that there is an update to UK Driving Licence trailer permissions as follows:
Note this says trailers up to 3,500kg MAM. So I take this as the trailer weight itself, is that correct?
And this is what Google shows as this meaning:
This also says vehicle or trailer.
This is (possibly my) twin axle trailer's VIN plate regarding weights:
So going by above the trailer unladen weight is 500KG and the axles are rated as carrying a maximum of 1,800kg payload. So as long as I do not overload it, my trailers MAM is 2,300kg is that correct? (Not sure what the GVW is about and why that is lower than the axles?)
Which means then that I can now, since December 2021 legally tow this trailer? And therefore not be limited to 750kg or have to take a re-test.
