hello everyone.
have been looking around the site/forum and thought i would jump onboard. im surprised "talking shop" out of work time could be quite as much fun

my name is jimmy,
im over on the coast in east anglia. fabrictor/site engineer for my family business.35 yrs old. generally i work on my own out on site covering various contracts. my welder which i carry is a lincoln ranger 8 which works ok for me.
aswell as metalwork my hobbies include local usaaf military history and ww2 aviation recovery. i also have a small collection of mainly vintage american military vehicles. and a smaller collection of 1980's "old school" bmx bikes

Old school BMX's eh Jimmy... I used to race em at regional level; got a Patterson with Profile Flight Cranks, GT Hubs & Bars, Mavic Rims (including spare 'skinnies'), Suntour Headset etc.etc. Worth anything? No pics I'm afraid, been stuck in a shed since the late 80's! (started off on a Raleigh Ultra Burner as per your 2nd pic...happy days!!)

all old school bmx stuff is worth money.especially the better end stuff there is a set of original used patterson foam pads currently for sale on everyones favourite four letter auction site making around£50 + £20 postage from u.s
my advice is that you should probably be getting it out of the shed and giving it all a damn good clean up. sell it on the net,then tell the wife that christmas is taken care of. lol

dont forget though, things like this definately fall into the category of " i had one of those once, i wish i had kept it". its only ever going to keep going up in value. maybe it should come out of the shed and get upgraded to the cupboard under the stairs instead. i would wager a fiver that you will be looking at it sometime over this weekend.
