A bit of beard twiddling and Roller Ball light was conceived.

I Iike spikey things and balls.
Next job is rewire it with old skool twisted wire.
Can anybody recommend a source?

The lamps swivel around through almost 360 degrees, and can be moved around the frames.
Weight? not too heavy, it was a laugh wiring it all up on the ceiling.
then I realised I could have assembled it on the table and connected three wires in situ.
Furniture is mine as well.
New table is in the pipeline.
I'm slowly making my old terrace into a pad.

Can't wait to see what you do for the cooker hood and exhaust duct!

Envisaging something involving snakes for the duct with maybe a bunch of downward facing Daffodils for the hood. Or a Dragon mouth for the hood and body/tail for the duct. If either of those appears take note of who has the design concept ownership!

But the walls aren't magnolia - I thought that was compulsory these days.
