Angle guage

Hi chaps , am considering buying one of those digital angle guages that are magnetic to set the blade angle on my table saw, are they any hood , the ones I see for sale seem to be awfully cheap for an accurate measuring device , any recommendations re these ,

Yup, I used to use one all the time real timesaver. Make sure to have the angle relative to the table rather than the planet if you see what I mean.

i got one of these brilliant setting stuff up on the miller and angle of table saws just sit on table zero it and away you go / use it on the wood chissel and planer gauge for setting up the angles

They are phenomenally accurate for what they are. Interestingly, a digital angle gauge has to compete with the only other tool I can think of that can calibrate itself, a try square or set square. Both can measure and recalibrate their own error.

The only issue with a super cheap gauge would be the quality and flatness of the base. I would be wary of a flimsy plastic one but even then, so ong as it is positionally repeatable, it can always recalibrate to the accuracy of the sensor.

Couldnt find my small wilko plastic level so I have ordered one of these to try. Usb c rechargeable. However it doesnt appear to have a v groove which I'd have liked, so I need to adjust some round posts soon, the posts are also stainless, so may be a pain. £18 with discount.

Never leave the batteries in them, they go flat quicker than a rubber dingy with a knife in it…
