Another newbie

Alright lads, and lasses? Little info bout myself first eh?

Well, im from and still live in hull and i'm 26 years young.

Not had any experience what-so-ever regarding welding, although i've watched a few people doing it, seems easy enough to me..

Some of my hobbies are :
Motorcycles, basically, if its got two wheels and an engine im into it. Mechanics, love taking stuff apart. Putting it back together sometimes doesn't go to plan but i can take stuff apart like a champ.
Computers : Setting up servers, tinkering, pc building etc etc, pretty nerdy but hey, keeps me busy..

Joined the site as i'm basically looking for info regarding getting into the welding industry as a possible career but have no idea where/how to start!

Im hoping you guys can help this newbie out with this!

Joined the site as i'm basically looking for info regarding getting into the welding industry as a possible career but have no idea where/how to start!

• There's a list of college welding courses here.
• Or, you could ask around local fabricators whether they have any opening positions going (driver, etc.), and work your way up.
• Buy a welding machine, start your own education and, possibly; a business (non-safety critical, aesthetic artwork, etc.).

It all depends where you want to go with it...
