Another newbie

Hello all,
Found this site a couple of weeks ago and decided to make myself known. Had both mig and arc welders consigned to the back of the garage as expensive ornaments but having found this site amongst others my interest has been rekindled and can now actually get my mig to deposit metal! (the mma is another story )

Welcome Sir. As for the MMA, practice practice practice, and make sure you are not using damp rods, and as they are hygroscopic, they will suck any moisture from the air. Best to keep them in the airing cupboard (does anyone have one of these anymore ?) Put them on some foil and leave in the oven on a low heat for 45 mins to 1 hour. But ONLY if its an electric oven, as Gas contains a tiny amount of moisture which is released on combustion.
