thought I would just introduce myself, although I have posted a couple of times already. I am (almost) totally new to this welding lark! Did a very small amount at school, but didn't get along with it then (probably due to it being ARC rather than Mig). I have just ordered myself a new mig welder (Clarke 160TE) from weldequip, so will have fun playing with that when it turns up... I may well post some photos of my first attempts for you to laugh at and give some helpful hints of how to improve.
I tend to have a go at pretty much anything, so am hoping I will get along ok with welding! I am planning on making some gates, and also a pond cover to stop my son diving in!!
Having advised on another post that it is best to have a dedicated outlet for a welder, I should probably sort out installing one!!
