Made of brass, have measurements of 13-14-15" and 28-30-32-34" marked on it.

Any ideas chaps ?

Yes, moves along measure. Thought it might be for wheels but seems pointless?
There are no measurements from 0-12" or 16-26" .

i wonder if it's for measuring small farm animals, goats, sheep &c, 2 size ranges one for male and one for female.

There is a small 1/2" lug on the end of the fixed leg. No markings anywhere.

Have a good retirement Graham, I retired six years ago & love every minute of it, it's the best job I've ever had.... The money's crap but the hours are fantastic.
