Great little engine's but they don't run for long without coolant. The operator said it was pouring steam out of the radiator cap for 10 minutes then it stopped steaming and started smoking and then it stopped. After cooling down it actually restarted.

Yes an employee but the engine is on a pressure washer. Iam sure you can imagine the type of person who spends 45 hours a week pressure washing for minimum wage.

Yeah, but, I doubt British garages see those levels of sheer insanity.

I appreciate the USA is bigger, but, 'Just Rolled In' is pretty damned impressive.

If I had to wrangle a lance powered by that thing, I'd probably be praying every minute for it to sieze. Or is the end attached to a digger arm or something? Or powering X10 hoses?

WTF? i laugh out loud when I see those videos. Can it just be American stupidity, surely a whole nation can't be that thick? Frightening to be sharing road space with some of those horrors

Your fault. Machine should have been equipped with low oil pressure and high temperature trips. Even (some) small engines are equipped with safety trips. You are fully aware of the ability/mentality of these operatives - or you should be!

Keeps me in work. And fortunately I love rebuilding engines this one will be rebored 0.5mm oversize. Bottom end is perfect,big end and mains still in tolerance not bad for nearly 10,000 hours. Got to have a new cylinder head though as it's cracked.

If he'd been ignorant of what was going on, fair enough, but he noticed and noted something very unusual happening, but chose to make it 'someone else problem'.
I've worked with people like that, the attitude is infuriating.
