Anyone know this knob????

Bought a Transwave phase convertor and its missing the knob. The switch is made by Salzer. Plastic piece fits over the shaft and then knob over that.

Transwave or Salzer wont sell and looked around and cant find any for sale. Any ideas?

What size and type of shaft, (splined, round, round with flat etc.), and what type of knob?

You can get similar, standard knobs. It's the shaft it's fitting onto which decides what choice you'll have.

Its not a standard shaped shaft. Circular with 3 prongs.

Any chance of a photo of the shaft? There's a good chance you could fit a grub screw knob on there unless it's a truly weird shaft. What's the diameter of that sleeve? Do a search for 'rotary control knob' on any of the search engines, and you'll get a good idea of what's available.

You find that fitting on older equipment. Especially Bakelite knobs.

If I could get to my junk pile I would have a look, but the junk pile is under another bigger junk pile.

I think some of the older Eaton switch disconnectors build up like that, you may have to trawl through a few catalogues.

You could try Technical Arc, they are a huge stockist of switches but they are Kraus & Naimer ones, but they might be able to help with something off a machine with a dead switch.

Or, left field idea, go to B&Q/ Ikea/ Homebase etc., buy a suitable door or cupboard knob and modify it. Often cheaper than other suppliers if you just want the functionality.
