Anyone know what type of valve this is?

I’ve stumbled upon a few of these valves when rummaging around in my old man’s shed. There’s only this marking cast into the body on one side ‘B E -2’ and a 6 or 9 on the Schroeder valve type part, nothing else on the valves or the cardboard boxes they are in. It’s about 45mm square on the square face and 80mm long.

Any clues?

It look similar but not identical to the Thermostatic oil cooler bypass valve on a air cooled Same engine.

I had a similar thought. It isnt from a landy but the thermostatically controlled oil cooler units on the lt77 and r380 gearboxes look a little like that.
