anyone recommend a Good DA palm sander?

Looking to pick up a good DA sander but not sure what is good?
A few palm DA's on ebay for around £40. Are these any good.
Can anyone recomend a good one without paying 'snap-on' money for one?
Are there any good electric sanders around?

Unless you have quite a big compressor an electric DA will be a much better idea. Not sure whether these are available in electric though, so you may have to opt for a Chinese one from Ebay if you want a cheap palm sander. I would think all the good air DA sanders will be £200+, while you can get a reasonable electric one for about £100.

seeley sell decent air sanders around the 65 quid mark there exelent i have a couple of em second hand they last years and parts redily available if needed. there made in japan. air consumption is minimal they will run no bother of a 14cfm pump

i use a cheap ebay air driven 150mm most the time and works fine, i use it all day everyday and still never had any problems. £40 delivered if i remember.

Screwfix one is air driven and my 3hp 50lts is more than capable of running it

I started a similar post but in the end I bought an elecric one from Machine Mart for under £30, Clarke. So far I am impressed with it.

Air DA's are not exactly quiet aswell,

So if you have touchy neighbours then elec is probably the way to go

The only thing I find with it is that its quite a lump, bit big to get into all the tight spaces. BUT it has made light work of doing the prep work for my fairings.

Going to see if I can attach a 125mm mop/sponge to it so I can use it for polishing.
