AP Ferromax cylinder use?

Hi all, i am at long last on the way to get my new welder, now i am going form the pub CO2 cylinder to industrial gas, now i have an Air Products Ferromax 7 cylinder, i dont have a limiter vale for it so is there a 300bar reg i can use inline as such?

Click on the weld equip link above and you will find the regulator you need. SOME co2 regs will also work with argon mix with a thread adaptor

No, you need a NEVOC regulator, these are used on cylinders that are filled to 300 bar. They have a female nut; the bottle has a male thread. Most welding suppliers will stock them.

Any reason for using Ferromax 7? Cougar 5 would maybe suit better?, plus you can use a normal, cheaper regulator on the bottle.

Or are you having an 'Integra' cylinder, which has a built in regulator, all you need is a quick release coupling for that.

I knew about the quick coupling cylinders with the regs built in but the nevaco was unknown to me

Hi guys, sorry i havnt replyed sooner, been busy looking for a new welder, well trying to decide what to get, like a women in a shoe at times LOL.

I can get a full Fez 7 (fez 7 are all integra ) from work a si work for a gas cylinder supplies company, its a non reg cylinder so no rental, just take it back when its needed, i am hoping to get a cougar5 or argon depending on the rig i get.
I was going to get a fabricator 200 mig but they are sold out and no longer made but i have now found a Thermadyne 181i so i can go with argon now, thats if i do get that one, i will getting it one next week so we will see.

I know there are flow regs for the Fez 7 but all we have in work is the 15l and 20l, i would prefer to adjust the flow by a reg.

you could always get a 20 and use a flow meter after that to adjust
