Hi
Can anyone recommend an APP to open DXF files (preferably for free)
Can anyone recommend an APP to open DXF files (preferably for free)
Thanks I will try that oneIf it's just a viewer you want then Autodesk have a free app that they say reads DXF files:
Autodesk Viewer | Free Online File Viewer
Autodesk Viewer is a free online viewer for 2D and 3D designs including AutoCAD DWG, DXF, Revit RVT and Inventor IPT, as well as STEP, SolidWorks, CATIA and others.viewer.autodesk.com
It won't have any.Hi Guys.
Well downloaded a couple of APPs and I can see the image but it does not show any dimension.
I am a complete Newbie to all this so any help appreciated.
Preferably on a different layer if they going to be cut out on CNC profiler, the CAM software I have used it was quite tedious to remove the dimensions. If you want dimensions, you need to add them after you import the .dxf file.
Yes that was what I was looking for. When you say "app" do you mean something to be used on a phone / tablet?
Thank you. It is quite a simple layout so I have converted to PDF and added dimensions and left the original file unchangedPreferably on a different layer if they going to be cut out on CNC profiler, the CAM software I have used it was quite tedious to remove the dimensions.
....and you didn't post a pix here.......Thank you. It is quite a simple layout so I have converted to PDF and added dimensions and left the original file unchanged
I think I will stick with a sketch pad and Cardboard engineering and leave all this CNC stuff to the younger generationYou Da man !
