Arc-force control-inverter welder

Hi Everybody,
Can somebody explain to me the purpose of arc-force control and in what application would the setting be increased ? Using E6013 rods the arc-force control has to be turned right down to obtain spatter free beads....... All help is appriecated.

If the arc length is shortened the voltage drops, increasing the arc force counters this some by messing with the volt-amp relationship. Set low you get a softer arc, turning it up produces a crisper/stiffer more forcefull arc and less chance of sticking. It's been years since i've held a stinger but iirc basic electrodes typically need/work better with higher arc force than your rutile
