Arc welding with a TIG

Has anyone here tried anything such as this pic below. ?

Need to stick weld / arc weld on your Tig machine? If you only need to burn a few rods then don’t even bother hooking up a stinger. Just use your Tig torch with a 1/8” or 3/32”collet setup. You can even use the foot pedal if you want.

Would probably work. I'd leave the ceramic off.

I would worry if all the weight on the end might crack the torch. Especially the cheap clones.

nice miller in the back, is it an aircrafter?

Made me wince, looking at that. Nice clean method fouled up by smoke and spatter... Gas lens , ceramic, all expensive (more than a new arc torch for the lens). Start bending the rod around, as you do, and it'll get messy!
