Argoshield EVOS Ci connection Type to BOC Regulator (they dont match)

YAWN!!!!!!!

Bought this from BOC online to start me Kemppi mig welder!

Please see photos, i already had the ARGON Valve and was hoping to use it!

But see the big canister? Well BOC website reccommends a Valve but i can see the valve the recommended on their website £150 doesnt match the outlet on the Argosheild outlet

Can anyone suggest how to connect to my BOC regulator?

I USED The BOC Chat function but as usual they always asking you to call them and im having a bad hair day ! rather not call em!

Mig welding site is usually awesome anyway!

As far as i am aware you need the specific high-pressure regulator form boc for this cylinder.

You need a NEVOC regulator.

I got mine from my local welding place for about £40 or so.

You can see the reg on the cylinder in this pic, it has a hand tightening nut with an internal thread rather than the hex with an external thread as per the normal regs.

As said above you need a NEVOC regulator, your current one won't fit unfortunately

One thing to remember with those cylinders Adam, do not open the valve/lever thingy without having the regulator connected

Hood Thanks very much "Night and DAY" THIS £1000 Kemmpi and gas from BOC

Finally done a decent looking weld, very pleased and thanks for your help again, fitted the Valve yesterday very carefully "I Did NOT use any PTF Tape?" if im supposed to let me know

Im gonna start building things! One thing is a nice trolley for my Kemmpi welder to get it off the floor

Once my sore knee gets better!

Thanks Backpurge for the safety tip, i carefully fitted the valve before lifting the lever and putting the output direct to the welder just incase!

works 100% left Nordoc valve on overnight, and just checked the tank is still full lol, yes it is

Nope, definitely no thread tape. It will seal on the conical seat but there will also be an O Ring there as well on the regulator, or at least if it is a hand tighten one, not sure if the spanner tighten one have that or not.

Just looked and the spanner tighten one I have (never use now) doesn't have the O Ring but just seals on the conical seat.

The hand tighten ones though have an O Ring or at least both of mine do.
