Armillary Obelisk

Inspired by and really liking the armillary made and posted by Hitch last year, I decided to have a go and incorporate it onto my latest obelisk.

Obelisk made as per my last one and circles formed by foldind bars around a gas bottle. It will be painted black. Many thanks to Hitch for the inspiration and the guide he posted .

Nice one, the rings are very round which I never managed bending bar like that.

Hitch's were much much better! formed them, welded, then spent a good hour or so bending and hammering on various blocks of wood and bars until I was happy they were close enough, they're not perfect but good enough, makes me realise I now want a ring roller. there's no end to the needs of this hobby.

Nice one.
I find it easier and quicker to use formers for smaller bar. Just need to keep the pressure even, and make it as round as possible before welding the joint up.
