I have an Astro Powermig 130, made in Italy. My 5 position OFF + 4 power control switch got stuck while operating and I could not switch it back to Off. I took a couple pictures and then started to take the cam switch apart. Some of the pieces fell out, of course. Unfortunately, I took the cams out without taking pictures and am having trouble making sure they are in the correct position. I have contacted Bremas, as it is their switch but they don't have an exact match. I bought this at a yard sale so it has no data to support it and I can't find any information on-line. If anyone can help me with how the internals should be setup so I can use the existing switch that would be great. If not, does anyone have the same machine and know the part number so I can order another? Bremas only has a max 16 amp switch and I don't know if that will support the machine. They need to know what the max amp rating is on the switch or what amp it is at each level from 1-4.

16 amp should be more than enough as the switch is switching the primary side of the transformer (most it will have to handle is the value of the fuse in your plug!) In the UK the plug would have a 13amp fuse on the 240 supply.
There is a link to a video somewhere on the forum of a chap showing quite clearly how the switches work.

Note you could have just a plain 4 way switch (16amp rated) and a separate on/off.

Are there any directions on how to set up the cams internally as I do have all of the parts for the existing switch. i put it back together and it works but i think the cams may be wrong so i dont want to put it back in the machine.

I have one more question. Is this a one or two pole switch. My white wire coming from my 110v plug goes to the R(L1) connection and my black ground wire from the 110v plug wire goes to the S(L2) connection on the switch.
