Every few years I come back round to thinking I need more air, normally I busy myself with something else until the feeling passes.
My main compressor is built around a Bock FK3 pump (its a conversion from a fridge van) which is capable of running at upto 3000rpm. At present its on single phase 13A, and so limited to approx 1/3 of max speed. I would say it achieves 7cfm FAD on a 2hp 4 pole motor. I still have the original motor that was used on the fridge van in yards and IIRC its 7.5KW 3phase. This would give me the power to run much faster, but is it too big for DOL delta?
Incommer into work is 100A per phase, into a crabtree 12 way DB. I already have a 50A mcb powering a second DB that handles all my 3 phase installations - 2 x 16A sockets and a 16A feed to the two post lift. Sockets are not in constant use, one is never used and the other powers the lathe/TIG as required.
