any on here use or or have any know anything about what to buy and what to look for in a automotive spot welder for classic and modern cars.
im look at used ones as new are crazy priced

I have a Sealey SR12 unit, it's an old type with the separate box for the timer on it and three welding guns. The gun part has the transformer in it. I bought it on ebay for a couple of hundred quid with lots of different arms. Works fine as long as you keep the tips profiled.

Keeping tips cold as well helps, used to dip ours in water, (would not recommend this )
