avalablity of clarke parts ?

my clarke air industrial is sick

when it cuts off and the pressure switch dumps the air it now trys to dump the whole tank, so guessing i need 1 or two new non return valves.

i also have a pump from it, a while ago one of the pumps stoped pumping as i needed it i robbed the pump of another clarke compressor with a dead motor, i'm thinking the valves in the failed pump are at fault anyone know if these are avalable and from where, or what i can make some replacements out of

Just strip it, and have a look, it could just be carbon stuck in the seat or the spring broken, sometimes just a new spring and they are sorted.

you can get most parts either from Clarke International or Machine Mart. Manuals with spares list are available to download but you need to order by phone although you can send an e-mail for queries.

its the big singel phase one, its basicly 2 3hp compresors sat ontop of one tank, each pump feeds into the tank seperatly. but both of them are interconnected to the pressure switch

i have the same one. I took my one way valves apart and theres a round rubber disk inside . I put it on some emery cloth and rubbed it flat as it had indents in . they now seal fine . the valves are available in machine mart catalogue. but not the rubber buttons

Ah right well remove the pipes and switch on let it build a bit of pressure by holding your thumbs on the end then see which one is leaking and just as mentioned before, strip the valve that is faulty as BS said.

bodged it yesterday, 1 valve had given up competly the other one wasent doing very well ether,

the rubber buttons were quite worn where they land on the seats i had a rummage around and found a the tin of assorted tap washers and found 2 washers that looked about right so in they went, the springs well one had some bits in that probaly were a spring , the other had a spring in it but the bottom few cois had worn down to somethign more resmbling a fillament rather than a spring so found some compression spings in an assortment box and after a few attemps managed to adjust a couple to fit, it now works again

if i set out trying to bodge it i can garantee it just wouldn't hve worked for some reason, as it turned out i needed the plasma for 5 mins so i thought as long as it sort of works for now that'll do, in that situation bodges seem to be 100% more effective pressure actualy stays up better now than it ever has.
