hi all, im pretty new to welding my own stuff and bought a used welder to help teach myself,
the thing is though i just bought a near new nu tool 101-2, bodyshop mig welder that the power lead had been cut off for another welder, (240v) other than that it was supposed to work, ive replaced the wire and the only thing happening is a click from the circuit board, but a closer look and iv found another wire that looks to have been cut but cant find where it goes,
im just wondering if anyone on here has got the same welder that could take a pic of the wires from the switch's so i can trace where it goes

welcome to the forum.

I'm not familiar with that particular welder but if you can post a picture or two then someone else may be able to offer advice.

Which side of the transformer is the loose wire 240v or from the lower voltage side?

its a bit decieving from the pic, that is actually the wire thats sticking up, it looks like its been cut there as you pointed out but its actually black tape, the wire sticking up is the wire from that switch, but i cant trace where it goes,

you have to methodically start stripping out the wires so you can see easier. if there are no other cut wires then its pulled from a socket maybe? when they are stripped out it will be easier to see

that wire is transformer related as its on the switch that controls the power settings so check the wires to the main transformer and look at the spade contacts on the pcb incase one of them should have 2 wires into it.
also trace the wires on the switching relay to check that one of them does actually go to the welding transformer

I have a NW 130 but the wiring looks exactly the same.

On mine the blue wire goes to the fan -------- The fan is not installed or seen on your photo's

I assume you plan to mount that circuit board properly at some stage? It'd be a bit of a bu993r (as Fred Dibnah might say) if it landed somewhere live and blew the thing to kingdom come.
